Manifesto
It's been a while since my last posting here. I've been busy living. Last weekend it rained on Saturday, so Lauren and I hung out. We got up and went to 'Flapjacks' for breakfast. It's always good there. I got the vegetable omelet (without onions, I hate onions). Then we went grocery shopping and ran errands around town until later that evening when we met up with some friends for a few drinks and to watch a co-worker of Lauren's band play. They were good, but after a couple of hours they started playing the same songs again...so we decided to leave. The night was fun, though. We had made the plans to meet up with Lauren's co-worker friend earlier in the week, and then we decided that since we never hang out with any of our old downtown friends, that we would invite them too. They all showed up! It was great to see them all, and to hang out again like we all used to.
Sunday morning I got up at 4:30 AM to get down to Martinsville where I met up with my dad for a fishing trip on Lake Lemon. It was really nice. I caught a bunch of fish...some little and one pretty good sized bass. It was fun. I usually don't catch a thing...but I was lucky on that day!
Work this week for me has been kind of slow. It's nice to get a little break. I have a big website that's getting ready to heat up again soon, so I'll soon be swamped again - writing strung out journal entries here about how life sucks! Hopefully I can convince myself that it's just a job...to let it go. We'll see.
Lauren got a new job, so she is super excited about it. She'll be getting out of the not-for-profit sector after 2 years of struggling. When they say "not-for-profit" they mean not for profit - for anyone. No one get's rich. Sure, it's for a good cause, but people have to survive.
I finally got around to setting up a little website and a blog for the big art project. You can check it out and follow along with us as we build this project. Who knows when it will be done...but at least it's starting to get some momentum. The website's not done yet...but it is a placeholder for now...
